A La Carte Menu: Starters from £5.25

Smoked Salmon

LOCAL BLACK PUDDING: Grilled black pudding served on a blue cheese and crispy apple salad, sprinkled with toasted pine nuts.
UIG LODGE SMOKED SALMON: Wonderfully moist smoked salmon from the Scottish isles, served simply with chunky prawns, crab mayonnaise and warm toasted bread with dill butter.
WARM SEAFOOD SALAD: A fresh salad of mixed shellfish, chunky prawns and fresh fish, served with a warm garlic and shellfish vinaigratte.
CREPE ST. MICHELLE: Fried kidneys with button mushrooms served in a small folded pancake with a mild Dijon mustard sauce.
SMOKED HADDOCK: Smoked haddock, served with crushed new potatoes, on wilted spinach leaves with a poached egg.
MUSHROOM RISOTTO: A creamy Arborio risotto made with a mushroom stock and creamed button mushrooms, garnished with asparagus spears and parmesan cheese.

Steak

RIB EYE STEAK: Local rib eye steak served with mushroom, asparagus, a hint of garlic, blue cheese shavings and cracked black pepper.
ROAST BREAST OF DUCKLING: Gressingham duck breast served on a leek and bacon bubble and squeak with Madeira wine sauce.
GRILLED LOIN OF COD: Topped with a crab, lime, coriander and coconut crust, served with a coconut, crab and lime butter sauce.
ROAST BREAST OF CHICKEN: Served with a smoked salmon, chunky prawn, tomato and white wine sea-scented sauce.
PORK FILLET TENDERLOIN: Escalope of bread-crumbed pork fillet tenderloin, served with a creamy tarragon and mushroom sauce.

All main courses are served with potatoes and fresh market vegetables or a salad.

Pie

Homemade Fishcakes, served with a pea and dill puree and fresh cooked chips.
Whole tail Scampi, served with chips and salad.
Homemade Pie of the day.
Cod in beer batter, chips and mushy peas.
Local Sausage with mash potatoes, onion gravy and garden peas.
Grand reserve Sirloin Steak, tomato, mushrooms, chips and garden peas.
Vegetarian Sausage with mashed potatoes and garden peas.
Spicy Vegetarian pepper pot pie.
Cottage Pie, served with potatoes and creamed minted peas.

STARTERS

Salad of grilled brie, citrus crumb, crispy bacon and mange tout salad.
Spicy crab cakes, cucumber Julienne, spring onion and sweet chilli sauce.
Smoky haddock pancakes, spinach and blue cheese, grilled parmesan.
Black pudding, crushed buttered new potatoes, leek and whole grain mustard topped with a poached egg.
The Christmas cocktail, Prawns, crab and cockles with Marie rose sauce.
Home made chicken liver pate, cranberry and orange dressing warm toast.
Uig Lodge smoked salmon, chunky prawns served with a whiskey mayonnaise. £2.25 extra

MAIN COURSES

Breast of butter roast Yorkshire turkey, chestnut and mustard crust, chipolata sausage, bacon scrolls, cranberry basket and roast gravy.
Roast loin of pork, chorizo and leek bubble and squeak, drunken apple chips, cider fizz.
Rump of lamb, crumbly cheese and herb crust, peppery tomato fondue.
Game pie with mushroom and gammon chunks, red wine and black pudding mash.
Fillets of sea bass grilled with pine nuts. chervil and crab, served with a mushroom prawn and citrus butter.
Roast breast of chicken with leeks, bacon, mushrooms and local Swale dale blue.
Grand Reserve Rib-eye steak, topped with chunky garlic prawns, mushrooms and whipped peppery Cafe-de-Paris butter. £2.75 extra
